UPPER GARMENT.....ALBANG ANSIF IN B'LAAN LANGUAGE

UPPER GARMENT OR ALBANG ANSIF is a piece of clothing that can be a long sleeve or without sleeve and that is worn over a long skirt or malong or knee lenght pant as part of their suit. UPPER GARMENT OR ALBANG ANSIF is made of hand woven abaca or abal fiber or cotton cloth material, usually contain intricate patterns sewn with brightly colored thread into back, front and arms of the garment. UPPER GARMENT OR ALBANG ANSIF embroidery or intricate bead work, is a symbol of ethnic pride reflective of their rich cultural tradition. The B'LAANS in their struggle, to preserve their cultural tradition. Items of B'LAAN material culture worn by the B'LAANS on special occasions and or ceremonies, are also found in Pula Bato, Tampakan, South, Cotabato... .........PHOTOS POSTED ARE MY EMBROIDERED AND BEADED WORK COLLECTIONS........
